Enhancing Game Day Solutions at The Pennington School
Starlite’s collaboration with The Pennington School in Pennington, NJ, exemplified the successful enhancement of game day audio solutions for their outdoor football field. Starlite’s Design Engineer Paul Dietrick and Account Executive Lenny Digangi contributed to this project’s success. The focus of the project was on upgrading the audio system as part of a campus renovation initiative.
The Challenge:
The existing audio system at the outdoor football field had deteriorated due to prolonged outdoor exposure. It also had a lack of low frequency coverage, necessitating an upgrade. Starlite worked to meet the client’s desire for optimal sound quality during various activities and events.
The Solution:
After a thorough sound system analysis using Danley Direct software, Starlite recommended the best products for the installation. The Danley OS8 loudspeakers and THmini15 subwoofers were picked for their superior output levels, polar pattern, and form factor. Custom loudspeaker mounting hardware was crafted in Starlite’s on-site fabrication shop. With these customizations we were able to maximize the existing bleacher poles. This ensured a seamless integration process and provided a turnkey audio system.
The Outcome:
By strategically mounting the Danley loudspeakers on poles to cover the bleachers and field, Starlite successfully addressed architectural and noise concerns in the surrounding area. The installation of a control system, wireless microphones, gooseneck announcer microphones, a Bluetooth media player, and an audio interface plate catered to various event needs, enhancing the overall game day experience.
Client Feedback:
The system is fantastic and we’re blown away by the sound quality and clarity of the speakers. The system is used in a variety of ways: voice announcements during emergency drills, sports commentary, music and we’ve even shown a movie out on our turf field. I don’t think we could be happier with the system, installation, and service provided by Starlite.
