Job Summary: Starlite is looking for Account Executives who are self-motivated with a proven sales track record in the Audio, Visual, Lighting and/or Rigging industries. The successful candidate identifies opportunities, collaborates with the sales team to provide solutions, and closes the business. This role requires a desire to make a difference at the client, partner and Starlite levels. Building sustainable relationships, providing the value add, and effective communication are key elements of this position. Experience with theatrical and entertainment audio, visual, lighting, and rigging systems in preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Generate profitable sales of Starlite’s products and services by actively engaging with industry clients through inside and outside sales efforts
- Leverage and build new and existing client relationships by seeking out sales and
employing different methods. Coordinate equipment demos in shop. - Utilize effective sales strategies and tactics to maximize profit margins and achieve sustainable revenue growth.
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and bid requests.
- Professional development – manufacturer training, independent training and study,
market research. Includes reviewing online resources, product demonstrations from
suppliers and manufacturers and formal training seminars and dealer training. - Professionally represent Starlite’s capabilities and expertise to potential clients in a personable, friendly, and professional manner.
- Proven history of performance in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships at the enterprise level, including competence and confidence in presenting at the Director, VP and C-level.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities.
- Excellent networking, presentation and communications skills
- Excellent computer skills, including a strong familiarity with the Microsoft Platform, and understanding of technology trends and solutions within the unified communications marketplace
- AVIXA certifications or similar preferred.
Required Skills and Responsibilities:
Provide prompt, courteous, and excellent service to all customers, operate ethically following State and Federal law, the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Affirmative Action, Diversity, employee handbook, applicable compliance and operations policies and procedures, and other policies of the company. Possess a high degree of integrity and actively cooperate and interact with all entities of Starlite.
Education and Experience:
- Associates/Bachelor’s Degree in administration and/or technical subject or equivalent and related work experience in the AVL industry.
- Demonstrate administrative leadership.
- Lighting and rigging manufacturer’s technical certifications are desirable, ETCP rigging and electrical and CTS certifications highly desirable.
- Familiarity in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word), Trello a plus
- Willingness to pursue and attend additional training related to the performance of the job.
- Ability to think and work independently, meeting deadlines as necessary.
- Familiarity with office hardware and process flow.
- Experience with Sales, Project management in related industries is a plus.
- A working knowledge of the installation, operation, and integration of audio, visual, lighting, and rigging systems.
- Understanding of construction plans and documentation.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have no adverse driving history.
- Strong attention to detail, professional appearance at all times.
- Problem-solving skills. Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.
- Ability to interact with end-users and internal staff to successfully identify and document specific client requirements and requests.
